UNLIKE YOU perhaps -- I never in a million years thought I'd ever run my own business. As a matter of fact, I wanted nothing to do with being a CEO or boss lady. I just wanted to live my life and not be responsible for an entire company. That seemed like too much work and too much pressure.

That is until ...  I started working for someone else.. and I realized, I STILL had work and I still had pressure. Actually, the pressure was no suffocating that I feared losing my job. I feared disappointing my boss and co-workers. The pressure that I'd NOT live up to my role. Maybe I wasn't good enough. I wasn't smart enough. I wasn't organized or charismatic enough.

WHOA. Talk about pressure.

This left my 27 year old self having heart palpitations. Having adult acne. Suffering from migraines. Struggling to keep my immune system strong. Visiting doctors for unresolved ailments (including wearing heart monitors, visiting an oncologist, being told I have IBS & PCOS... )

HOW COULD THIS BE??


I didn't want to be falling apart physically, mentally, financially and emotionally... my life had BARELY begun but I felt like I was in a fishbowl. Never to get out of the suffocating fight to survive.

I am not sure where my courage came from -- maybe it was always in me and I had buried it under paperwork and a busy schedule -- but one day, I woke up and decided to change.

One day at a time. One scary step at a time.

I had NO choice but to reinvent myself. I deserved better. My family deserved better.

After months of searching for other jobs (I was working in corporate america at the time), I had zero bites. Zero luck. I guess I had pretty steep expectations.

My job hunt:
A flexible schedule
Option to work remote
Unlimited time-off
No cap on my income (earn based on my work ethic)

My family thought I was too picky. I guess some thought I was crazy.  But I just wanted to LIVE!!! And not be trapped by a j-o-b that made me unhappy.

THEN one day, an acquaintance posted something on her Facebook about a detox she was trying. This stuck out to me ... because I needed a LIFE DETOX. I was desperate.

{And one thing I've learned, God doesn't call the equipped. He calls the desperate. So I was in the perfect spot to experience life change.}

I told her I wanted to try this Shakeology stuff she mentioned.

A few days later, I learned that this "shake" was created by a company I was familiar with, Beachbody. I had used their workout programs before like P90X and Brazil Butt Lift. Wow. Who would have thought?

Then as I started drinking Shakeology. I started to feel better. My IBS resolved. I slept better. My natural energy surprised me. I shared my shakes with my 10 month old because it was packed with superfoods (made me feel like a good mom).
